Major
event flag
A flag against
the share price draws attention to specific major events which
have recently occurred. The following major events are flagged:
‘R’ - Rights
issue: a rights issue, or open offer, is currently in progress
‘S’ - Suspension:
shares are currently suspended from trading
‘T’ - Takeover:
the company is making, or has received, a takeover offer
The major
event flag is set when one of the above situations pertains
at the latest production cut-off date. This cut-off date is
normally the Monday before the first Friday of the month of
publication, shown on the front cover. The date and nature of
the event are given under ‘NB:’, and are shown in the
panel located between Newsflow and Broker Forecasts.
